Library

Along with housing an extensive collection of quality fiction and non-fiction books, our school library is a place which aims to foster a sense of wonder, imagination, and inquisitive spirit for all who enter. The library resources and displays are constantly changing and being updated, with student voice being a key component of these choices.

All students within the school have weekly library time, where lessons are planned to expand a child’s horizon through literature and develop a love of reading and stories. Library lessons also focus on information literacy and information fluency skills, such as sharing and gathering information and working out when new information is needed.

Weekly borrowing of books is included in the time in the library, which is aided with the inclusion of students bringing library bags for the transport of books safely between school and home.

The library is also open for 3 lunchtimes a week, where students have opportunities to explore coding, read books and play games with friends in the library space.
